Zahirah Dance Ensemble

The Zahirah Dance Ensemble is available for private events, weddings, anniversary, graduation and birthday celebrations, theme parties, children's events, baby & bridal showers, bar/bat mitzvahs and club performances.

A standard show is approximately 15 minutes long, and is suitable for family entertainment. The performance can include the use of props, including: veils, sword/tray balancing, and candles.  You may also wish to inquire about audience participation (this is always optional). The client must provide the sound system with CD player. Any special requests (such as multiple shows in an evening, special music, etc.) will be honored if at all possible. Please let us know what you have in mind.

We do not perform at bachelor parties or in any situation or event where the audience will be male only.

NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Tipping: In Arab countries, audiences often participate in the entertainment by clapping, singing, and tossing paper money onto the dance floor to express their appreciation of the dance. If you do wish to tip, an appropriate, authentic and fun way to show your appreciation is to shower the dancer with single bills. If you wish to tip the dancer, feel free to do so!

But she is not asking for money--she's just sharing the dance with you for your enjoyment.

Please be aware that Troupe Zahirah is a fusion troupe - that is, we are not comprised of strictly MIddle Eastern Dance performers.  While all of our performers have studied Middle Eastern dance, our group also has backgrounds in ballet, jazz, gymnastics, latin, ballroom, hip hop and tap.  Therefore, although our performances all have a middle eastern theme, they may also include acrobatics, pointe work, etc.
